Mr. McGann has been a licensed attorney for 27 years. After law school Mr. McGann joined a litigation firm in Chicago, Illinois. Upon leaving the firm Mr. McGann completed a one year judicial clerkship for Chief Justice Thomas J. Moran of the Illinois Supreme Court. Mr. McGann entered the field of public utility regulation in 1990, joining the Illinois Commerce Commission where he was eventually promoted to Chief Chicago Trial Counsel. After leaving the Commission in 1997, Mr. McGann held positions with MCI Communications, Mpower communication and Qwest Communications. Mr. McGann is currently Assistant General Counsel at Xcel Energy, an electric and natural gas utility serving several western states.
